30 Day Drive: Today is the Day

First I want to say a “big time” thank you to everyone who has written in the past couple of days, my eyes are causing me big trouble when it comes to reading and writing email, so my pace of both has been slowed considerably. After a circus day yesterday, I went in during the mid-day as my gut was very bad, and burning as much as I have ever experienced, then with a couple of pills – Imodium – I was fine and had no need to be there. So after being transported a terrible bed in a part of the hospital where they had no idea who I was or much less that I was schedule for a Transplant on Wednesday, we made the move to get out. Fortunately the Resident on Call agreed and around 8:30 p.m. I got the boot home to the apartment and had a great night’s sleep.

So today is the second day of my life when I get to become just a little more life my Old Man. They did my Dad’s harvest yesterday morning/afternoon, which I understand took about 4 1/2 hours and in that time they got more than they need, thus negating any additional donations required by Dad.

And chatting with the hospital today they are expecting me in at 1 to start Transplant some time shortly after that. Not sure how much I’ll be getting, what time I’ll be starting or how I’ll be feeling once it’s done, but you can count on me getting right back to you once I have my new stem cells inside.

I heard from a little bird that it was a beautiful day on Signal Hill, which is awesome, especially considering I have so many awesome pictures that I will keep with me all day. Nice day here too, not Signal Hill, but nice. I’ll be back again soon, with some new stem cells.

Always…
Live Life. Love Life.

Geoff
