The 2009 Shave for the Brave was the best yet: seventeen school shaves, six corporate shaves and three community shaves around Newfoundland and Labrador raising $192,658. This money assists in the delivery of Young Adult Cancer Canada's support programs like We Get It, Retreat Yourself, and the Survivor Conference. The Shave for the Brave also creates awareness for our organization and our vision to end isolation for young adults with cancer in Canada.

Highlights

Minister of Health, Jerome Kennedy, shaved at the Village Mall and raised over $20,000.

Patricia Butler's shave raised over $4,000.

Mount Pearl Intermediate was the top fundraising school having raised $9,000.

14% of the entire Holy Spirit High School population shaved this year.
