To our Donors, Partners,
Volunteers and Survivors:
The 2008-09 year was the site of more incredible milestones in our growth as an organization. I hope you will take some time to read about them. I want to say special thank you to our many donors, partners, volunteers and the office crew who gave so generously to turn dreams into reality.
Where does the money go?
Young Adult Cancer Canada continues our commitment to transparency with the publishing of our ninth annual report. This commitment to provide financial information with depth and detail goes far beyond a simple summary of financial
statements, which often do little to answer my question. From tracking the dollars gifted to us, to detailed allocation of our human resources we are able to answer this very important question with accuracy and confidence.
More Survivors, More Shavers
Retreat Yourself 2008 in Quebec for survivors from coast to coast changed lives. Our Survivor Conference, hosted in Alberta for the second year gave our survivor community a chance to reconnect and continue planning for their future. These programs are a few of the initiatives supported by our donors and community events, including the wildly successful Shave for the Brave, which raised over $192,000 this year!
We've had another great year, thank you for your contribution to it.
Always...
Live life. Love life.
