The Canadian Breast Cancer Network with cooperation from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is holding a conference from October 29-31 in Toronto, Ontario. 400 women will gather at the Hilton to share info and experiences with other people who have been through it and/or are looking for support.
Young Adult Cancer Canada isn’t involved with the conference but we support initiatives to get people together. Knowing you’re not alone is a very powerful tool for young adult cancer survivors.
Some of the events include two gala dinners (one with Canadian rocker and breast cancer survivor Bif Naked and another with a pink carpet for the premiere of Jonna’s Body, Please Hold) and a keynote by Yvonne Jones, leader of the Liberal Party in Newfoundland, at Saturday’s breakfast about her recent diagnosis and upcoming treatment.
