Good Morning everyone hope you had a good sleep
I figured I’d write a poem for this Christmas week
Just two days till Saint Nick brings our loot
As he flies all over in his red and white suit
It was a year ago on this day
When I found out my marrow was OK
Home for the Holidays I was allowed to stay
Back to the hospital just after New Year’s day
The best Christmas ever, at least in my memory
Great weather, family, friends, and of course lots of turkey
Since that time I’ve had my ups and downs
Lots of smiles with a few frowns
Drugs and treatment that seemed to have no end
Don’t know where I’d be without my family and friends
I’m here today, well and active
Which is far better than the alternative
Last Christmas was special and like no other
But this one was made possible by my father
I have a lot to be thankful for and I’m very lucky
For some reason I don’t know, it wasn’t time for me
As I write this the S&G Countdown stands at 2
And it seems like a good time to say Merry Christmas from me to you!
