Closing Time

I think we, or I, have reached a point in my journey where I feel I should switch my focus. I have hit a plateau in my ability to communicate with you all in my desired fashion, I know this for several reasons, none of which I am prepared to discuss now.

From my first message to the “My Friends” email group just one day before I would start my first Game to this message about 14 1/2 months later I have always given my best. It did vary at times as did my health and energy, but it was one of the few commitments I made after being diagnosed and it was very important for me to keep it. We have seen many highs and lows, probably not the highs and lows we expected but we have made it, so far. While my series is far from over I feel confident that we have seen the lowest points and I will continue on my upward swing from here. I will forever remember the giving and receiving that has occurred via this medium and it was an integral part of my battle. I can’t imagine my fight without it. Thank you for sharing in my experience.

I don’t plan to disappear, on the contrary, I will be more “visible” than ever, just not in the form that I have been in for my series to date. I will still be by my computer every day but I won’t be communicating to the group anymore, I’m sure I will write the occasional message but not with any great frequency.

I hope you have gained valuable insight into the life of a Cancer patient as that was one of my initial purposes as I began this group. Thanks again and you will be hearing from me in the future, in many different ways.

“I hope that you received more than you gave, as that was my intention.”
