If you don’t have time for cancer, take three hours and make it better

Back in October we told you about "Cancer?! I don’t have time for that," a research study that was looking for participants. Dr. Sylvie Aubin and her associate, Samantha Eidinger, are about to start their second wave of research and are looking for new participants.

They are currently conducting a study looking at the effectiveness of an intervention program for young adults (18-39) who have been recently diagnosed with cancer, are undergoing treatment for cancer, or are done with treatment. It offers the opportunity for three private one-hour sessions with a clinical psychologist. The goal of the study is to help young adults cope with cancer and to create a more effective intervention centered around the specific concerns associated with this age group.

If you live too far from Montreal, there is the option of having the sessions via Skype. Participants are also compensated $100 for filling out three sets of questionnaires.

For further questions, please contact research coordinator Samantha Eidinger at 514-340-8222, ext 3912, or at samantha.eidinger@mail.mcgill.ca
