Day 78 – Progress

The levels are on the rise, hemoglobin is stable as always, my platelets have jumped to 57 and the most important white cells are standing at 3.3 up from 2.7, which is movement in the right direction. Taking the opposite approach as last time I have decided to tell you all that I am hoping to get the boot this time next week. I have one more clinic visit scheduled, to check my levels and make sure everything is fine. Of course final decision will be made at clinic with regards to final clearance and further progress but things are moving in the right direction for the first time in a while.

I don’t have a flight or solid travel plans but they will hopefully come together in the next few days as this time I am taking a not so cautiously optimistic approach. It is time I dragged my butt home so with a little luck, a white cell dance or two and one more good clinic visit I’ll be outta here. My time here has been good, long but good, and I am really looking forward to heading home, so for all you Newfies please begin early preparations for my arrival I will be expecting the usual, a parade, gala event at the Hotel, and of course a variety of honoured guests starting with the Platinum Club Members. Kidding, but I do hope to be arriving home shortly and as always I will keep you posted on the happenings of the next week.

Stay tuned,

Geoff
