Day 86 – First Day Home

Good morning everyone. It is good to be home, of course it doesn’t come without a price to pay, which was spending this morning in hospital. I had a pretty long day yesterday and used every ounce of energy I had in my tank, as a result I had some pretty good muscle cramps going during the early morning hours this morning. Thus I went back to hospital to get something for the pain, as the cramps I had were quite uncomfortable, very similar to those that I had several months ago during chemo treatments. I’m sure they were related to my extra activity from yesterday, as well as from the weakened state of my bones and joints, a side-effect of the Prednisone. Once again as with many things in my life these days, time will handle this situation, thus I spent the rest of the day doing nothing and plan to do the same for the next few days and will take it from there.

I am hoping to see many of you but probably not until sometime on the weekend, as I said I will get in touch as soon as I know when and where, but for now I’m going to build myself back up to an acceptable minimum. All other things are good, it is great to be home and I’m enjoying the sites, sounds and smells of St. John’s, and am really loving getting myself settled back into my old environment. Once again I could write a list of ‘little things’ that I miss with regards to my house, home environment and the Rock, actually maybe you’ll get one in the next few days as they are many things that I have missed but more importantly many things I have loved doing and having since returning home almost exactly 24 hours ago. Imagine what I’ll be like after being here for a week!

I’ll talk to you all soon,

Geoff
