Dear Toronto: Help ELLICSR build a "virtual kitchen"

Photo 2013-05-11 12 11 37 PMLocalife Toronto got to visit the ELLICSR kitchen back in May. We had a great time there, and support ELLICSR’s initiatives, so we agreed to share this message with the YACC community. Please participate if you’re able!

The ELLICSR Health, Wellness, and Cancer Survivorship centre, part of the Princess Margaret Cancer Program, is working to build a website that will help cancer survivors and their caregivers benefit from the best information on how food and nutrition can increase wellness during chronic illness.  This may include recipes, demonstration videos, and opportunities to communicate with both healthcare professionals and other survivors about cooking for wellness.
We are currently conducting a study to better understand cancer survivors and family caregivers’ needs and experiences in regards to cooking healthy meals at home, and their preferences on web-based tools that could help. For the purpose of this study, a “cancer survivor” could be either a person who has received a diagnosis of cancer themselves or a family member who is providing care and support for a cancer patient.
We are seeking cancer survivors and family caregivers to participate in this study who:

Participation in this study involves a 10-minute study, and 90-minute focus group or one-hour interview. The next focus groups will be on September 5 and 12, 2013.
If you have any questions about this study or would like to participate, please contact Nour Alkazaz at 416-581-7703 or [email protected].
Thank you for your time and consideration.
