The inaugural Survive & Thrive Expedition in 2009 was filmed and released as a documentary called “Wrong Way to Hope: An Inspiring Story of Young Adults and Cancer.” The film discusses the many unique issues that young adults with cancer face while chronicling the trials and triumphs of the cancer survivors on the nine-day expedition.
