First Anniversary

Just so you know the question I asked you all a little while ago regarding an anniversary, this was it. And believe it or not, of the 170 or so of you only one person got it. Here’s your invitation to join me for my first anniversary of Transplant.

My Friends Transplant Anniversary

It began for me on November 6th, 98
18 months later I’m looking to celebrate
You have been along “Virtually”
Watched the fall and rise of me

Now I want to say, from my heart, thank-you
And actually see your faces for a minute or two
Most I know, yet some I don’t
Hopefully I’ll see you all, but some I won’t

Please bring others who may not be in the group
If they wish to come, they can definitely join the troop
I’d love to see any and all
For a big visit or a small

We did this once before with very little notice
Last summer a BBQ at my Dad’s house
This time will be much the same, with one exception
No hospital afterwards, no ICU and no intubation

I’ve had enough setbacks, it’s straight up from here
So come a join me for a beer
Of course that doesn’t mean it’ll be all easy
But in comparison to where I was, it will be

We will meet from about 6:30 to 9:30
For a chat and picture of you and me
I hope to see you in my home setting
Face to face, and put a pause on the emailing

Please touch base if you can come
As if it’s just me it won’t be much fun
You know where to get me On email or at 579-7993

Bring nothing other than yourself as you’ve missed my Birthday
Don’t worry I won’t hold it against you, I’m not that way
But I would love to see you if you can make it
It’s my first anniversary and I feel the need to celebrate it

—————————————————————————-

For those of you who have never been to my Dad’s house, it is on 6 Banff Place, which is off Jasper Street. If you are driving East on the Parkway take your second left past the Holiday Inn, which is Quebec Street. Follow Quebec all the way to the top and down a little blind hill, take a left on to Jasper Street and then it’s your first right. It is a small cul-de-sac with 6 houses, we are the gray one in the middle. I would love to see any and all, please touch base with me sometime in the next few weeks to let me know if you can or can’t make it. I’ll forgive those who are too far away, but I don’t see any excuse for the rest of you. Seriously I would love to see you if you can make it.

Hope to see you really soon. Take care.

Live life. Love life.
