Good Check-up

A quick to let you all know that I had another good Dr.’s appointment today as we have dropped my Prednisone to 5mg/day. Which is very good news and means that I may manage to be rid of the steroid by XMAS, but remaining cautiously optimistic as always, we will have to wait and see what the next few weeks have in store for me.

My activity has continued to increase, but my limits are still… well limiting. I had a particularly active day yesterday and did pay for my play with an hour of cramps and internal pain, very similar to those experienced prior to hospitalization in July. But thankfully 2 Codeine kicked in after an hour and I was able to get some rest. Just another reminder that I can’t get carried away with activity and I must use my energy wisely.

Back to my appointment, I have also managed to gain a few pounds ( 2 ) as I’m now tipping the scales at 179.5. I made the comment to someone the other day that from April to September my weight went from 170 to 255, during my ICU sleep, back down under 170 by the time I woke. I don’t imagine many of you have had that kind of a weight fluctuation.

Figured I’d pass on the good news and you’ll hear from me again soon.
