Where do you work, and what do you do there?
President and CEO of Stockport Exploration
Where are you located?
When did you join YACC’s Board of Directors?
Why did you get involved with YACC?
It is the right thing to do. There are so many organizations that are worthy of support. To me, YACC stands out for touching people deeply and making a difference in their lives. Cancer is such a horrible thing, but we often tend to think and talk about it from a physical perspective. YACC is filling a void that makes a difference in peoples’ lives emotionally. I feel proud to be able to aid an organization like YACC.
What’s your favourite thing to do?
Free time is spent with my wife or on the golf course. It is easy to spend time with my wife; golf is hard. Not sure why I keep doing it.
What is your hidden talent/what do you wish you could do?
Not sure I have a hidden talent, or would even want one. I am a big believer in the “work hard, play hard” approach. Hard work makes up for lack of any natural gifts, which is a good thing for me. But you always need to remember to take the time to live well and enjoy life. We are all here for just a short time. It is great to challenge yourself and be focused on work, but it is the time for yourself, your family, and those you love that really matters. I have a cousin who says the most important thing you can do in life is to make memories. A simple approach to life, but one I embrace.
