Graft vs. Host Disease: Growing The Vision

Hey everyone, hope this Thursday finds you well. I’m continuing down the recovery road after a few days of fever cycles which really weren’t too bad as I was really taking things easy. There’s a message in everything we do and experience and I’m always trying to learn what they are. I remember last year the week before our golf tournament I was hit with a really bad bug and spent the whole week in bed, at that time I remember flashing back and being very pleased with myself as I was quite calm and accepting. Not something that came naturally to me before I got sick, most notably when it influenced my ability to tackle something I wanted to tackle. And here we are again, a week before the launch of an event and another bug that sidelined me for a while. No big deal, all will get done, and things will flow. You can count on a full update on the March Coins for Cancer Drive before it launches next Friday.

My message to you all today has a very different purpose than anyone I have ever written in the 40 months that I have been writing group messages. Today I am writing to ask, or as I prefer to say, extend the opportunity and invitation, to you to help me grow my vision of RealTime Cancer and expand our influence as an organization. Over the coming weeks, and ideally for many decades to come, we will be delivering events and maintaining regular operations that will require the help of all types of talent. My RealTime Cancer vision reaches far beyond anything I had conceived in my life prior to November 1998, but I have also learned the value of focus and right now we are only positioned to support Volunteers from Newfoundland and Labrador. That said I am interested to hear of your interest where ever you may be right now.

If you have the desire to contribute and have some time and energy that you would like to commit to our vision of educating youth and young adults about preventing and dealing with Cancer Challenges, and would like to help spread our Positive Attitude message, please email me. From there I’ll get back to you with some questions regarding your interest and hopefully find a fit within our short or long term plans.

No pressure, only if you’re interested. Have a great day and I will be back again soon.

Always…
Live Life. Love Life.

Geoff
