In BC? Want to participate in a study on the needs of young adult cancer survivors?

imageDr. Fuchsia Howard and Dr. Arminee Kazanjian are looking for participants for their study on Exploring the Medical and Psychosocial Needs of Cancer Survivors in their Adolescent and Young Adult Years for the University of British Columbia.

They are looking to speak with people who were diagnosed with cancer before they were 19, are currently between 17 and 35, and have not had chemotherapy in the past two years.

They say, "The purpose of this study is to understand the medical and psychosocial needs of cancer survivors in their adolescent and young adult years in British Columbia. Medical needs include watching out for and treating the physical effects of cancer as well as screening for second cancers. Pyschosocial needs include support and help with emotional and social well-being."

All they're asking is for you to participate in a one-hour phone call with one of the researchers. All information will remain confidential.

Please contact Fuchsia at (604) 822-9627 or [email protected] if you are interested in taking part in this study which will help develop health services for cancer patients.
