Journey to Remission: Feeling Fine

Hey everyone, another quick note to let you know what’s happening. I had a solid 12 hours sleep last night, much needed after my nighttime traveling, and today I’m feeling fine. I am scheduled to have a bone marrow test tomorrow morning, which will be my first one in almost 2 years. Because my counts are down, it makes sense that the first place we look for info would be my marrow. Not sure what the process is right now regarding time and treatment/hospitalization and stuff, but I’ll look to get that information tomorrow when at the hospital. For now I’m home and relaxing. As I mentioned yesterday, I have to be careful on the germ side.

We are really in a state of unknown right now, which is not something unfamiliar to me. I don’t feel as though my lung pain has anything to do with my low counts, just “coincidence.” Or if you really want to know what I’m thinking, it is that my trip to the hospital on Sunday was a nice “not-so-coincidental” warning sign for me to learn that my counts are down and I should get my ass home instead of heading to Toronto as previously planned. Once I had my latest blood levels, it was the right call to come straight home, so I made that call.

I am very comfortable, inside and out, and I believe everything in your life, and mine, absolutely happens for the right reason. The challenge is to figure it out and learn from it. You will continue to hear from me consistently as we progress through.

As I wrote to a friend this morning, this is just a bump in the road, it may flatten a tire or damage my engine, but the journey will continue. Glad you are along for it.

Have a good one.

Always…
Live Life. Love Life.

Geoff
