Launched

Hey there My Friends, I home from the last launch of the RealTime Cancer Challenge. It was at PWC, my old stompin grounds, and it was great. That give and take with an audience of that size is quite an experience. As of about 11:00 this morning as the final launch ended, the Challenge was put in the hands of about 2000 students at the three participating high school students. The next several days will be a really exciting time as we see what happens with student participation. The first message goes on Monday, November 6th. I have a feeling that the new My Friends email group will grow similarly to the original one in that, we’ll start with a core and then expand across borders. At least that’s my plan. Time will tell.

Unfortunately many of the desired media did not attend the launch, which leaves me with the challenge of getting the message, and the awareness about the Challenge, to our community in other ways. That is a challenge that I certainly look forward to tackling over the next few days, weeks, months.

While the Challenge did start out as a High School Challenge, it has evolved significantly over the past 4 months, and it is designed to be a community Challenge. I still plan to facilitate it in the three high schools, but the Challenge is open to any and all, just as my original Challenge. I know many, most, of you haven’t been with me from the beginning, and if you are interested to see the story from the beginning I encourage you to join the new My Friends email group. By checking out the RealTime Cancer website, www.realtimecancer.org, you can join the new My Friends email group. Complementing your own participation, I am really focusing on getting my story/message out to those who are facing Cancer Challenges of their own, whether they are direct Cancer Fighters, or supporters of a Fighter. If any of you know of such people please pass along the website address to any and all that may be interested.

You’ve heard me talk about the Success equation, I love that equation (success=preparation+opportunity). A big part of the mission of the RealTime Cancer Challenge is to provide that “opportunity” for as many people as possible. My email group was always, and will continue to be, all about sharing. The new My Friends email group is exactly the same.

The past two days have been an incredible experience, not just because I was able to launch the Challenge, an event that has been in my mind for about 17 months and is now a reality. But also because I was able to get up in front of three groups of students and let them know that Cancer Can be Beaten. I talked to them about passion, and I feel comfortable to say that I have found mine.

We’re off to a great start, and I’m already on cloud 9. I’ll keep you updated on the events of the Challenge. Hope you are having a great day.
Live life. Love life.
