Cancer Care Nova Scotia sent us the following information about the Living Beyond Cancer sessions and we wanted to pass it along to you:
This is a new program designed for adults and their families who are finishing active treatment.
The objectives of the program are to:
- Support patients/families through the transition from active treatment to follow-up care;
- Help patients/families understand what follow-up care includes;
- Enable patients/families to identify and manage long term side effects of cancer treatment; and,
- Empower patients to play an active role in maintaining their own health and wellbeing.
