Organization
Localife is an activity-based support group where young adult cancer survivors enjoy fun activities and connect with their survivor peers.
Localife is basically a social group for young adult survivors and is a brand new program for YACC that is being piloted in Calgary. Don't worry, there will be events in your city soon! (Maybe you will even be the one leading them...)
Raft-bogganing Extravaganza @ Peacefield Retreat Centre
Saturday, January 22, 3-7 p.m.
Snow, bonfire, potluck, and a 17 foot whitewater raft, one jumbo can of Crisco, and a big hill. Could there be a better way to kick off the new year?
Kick Ass Curling Night: Take 2 @ Calgary Curling Club
Saturday, February 26, 7-10 p.m. (roughly)
Bonspiel! This was so much fun we had to do it again! Everyone will have to dress in their team colors.
Come out and meet fellow young adult survivors in a fun, relaxed environment.
Localife events are held the last Saturday of every month. Please email karine@youngadultcancer.ca to be added to the mailing list and to get all the details for the events. You can also visit www.youngadultcancer.ca/localife for an up-to-date schedule of events.
