On February 6, 2015, the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre (OICC) will launch the Babes4Breasts Head Start Program, an eight week endeavour geared toward empowering, educating, and consulting women recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
They say this program is “designed to fill in the waiting period so often experienced between initial diagnosis and the  beginning of conventional treatment. Head Start is available for women when first diagnosed, helping them to feel less alone and confused, and better prepared for what lies ahead.”
There are up to 35 spaces available for this cost-free program which includes an initial weekend of seminars by clinicians and allied health care facilitators to give participants tools, tips, and support to cope with cancer with an ultimate goal of improving the overall outcome. After the weekend, the rest of the program will feature weekly meet-ups, and individual assessments with the OICC’s naturopathic doctors.
If you are interested in signing up, please contact Sarah Young at [email protected] or 613-792-1222 ext. 204.
