Nova Scotia Info Session, April 13 – Long-Term Side Effects of Chemo

“Long-term Side Effects of Chemotherapy: The Road Less Traveled”
With speaker Dr. Daniel Rayson, Medical Oncologist, Capital Health Cancer Care Program and Professor of Medicine, Dalhousie University
When: Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 7- 8:30 pm.
Where: The Royal Bank Theatre in the Halifax Infirmary and 20 communities in Nova Scotia will participate via telehealth.  Including: Amherst, Antigonish,  Baddeck, Bridgewater, Canso, Chester,  Eskasoni, Evanston,  Kentville, Middle Musquodoboit,  Middleton, New Glasgow, Shelburne, Sherbrooke, Sydney, Tatamagouche, Truro, Sheet Harbour, Windsor and Yarmouth will host sessions.  Please click here to access District posters with site specific details from the CCNS website.

Cancer and Radiation Therapy – Benefits and Short and Long-term Side Effects’ with speaker Dr. Robert Rutledge, Radiation Oncologist, Nova Scotia Cancer Centre and Association Professor, Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2010 from 7-8:30pm.
Cancer and Emotional Distress – Coping Strategies” with speaker Dr. Janice Howes, Psychologist, QEII Health Sciences Centre and CCNS Psychosocial Oncology Clinical Leader will be held on Tuesday, May 25 from 7-8:30pm.
