Those of you who know me best must have been waiting for this form of invite. Yes, of course it’s in my trademark free verse style. I hope you are all planning to see me on the 13th for my Victory Party.
April 13th is really nearing
And I’m definitely ready for some celebrating
It was quite a while ago
When I fell, hit my head and my activity began to slow
November 6th, 1998 was the day that I changed direction
A different path, same me with a different sort of passion
27 months ago I began my quest for the Cup
Near 7 full games, and I’ve never given up
Friday April 13th marks the big day for me
As my risk for relapse drops significantly
Last year we had a Transplant party
It’s the same this year, but we’re marking Victory
Many came on that terrible night, very windy and rainy
I hope you’ll do the same this year for my Victory Party
The past 27 months have been a great Challenge for me
And for my supporters who have been there consistently
I want you to come and celebrate the day as you’ve played a part
Because of your role in my battle, you’re locked in my heart
Please join the celebration on the 13th, as I’d love to see you
Bring your friends and your family I’d love to see them too
We won’t be at my Dad’s this year, as we’re moving for more space
We’ll be at Clovelly to make a mess in their place

In short get your butt out to the party no excuses this year

Place: Clovelly Golf Club (near the Price Club)
Date & Time: 6:00 until whenever, Friday April 13th – You are welcome to come for all or some of the night, whatever you wish.
Dress: Casual
Details: There will be a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. I’ll be staying at Clovelly until at least 9:00 and will be around for the duration of the celebration. I look forward to seeing you on the 13th.
