Racing to help young adults with cancer

For the second year in a row, Hammerhead Motorsports has participated in Targa Newfoundland with two things in mind: raise money to support charities they believe in and have an unforgettable experience.

The team raised $19,276 this year with $3,650 being donated to Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC).

When this year's rally race wrapped up, Hammerhead Motorsports, along with Justin Crant and Justin Russel of Paradise, NL, were awarded the Churchill Motorsports International Team Trophy Award which goes to the national team of three cars that accumulates the lowest aggregate of penalty points throughout all portions of the event.

They say that although they are proud of the recognition they received, they are most proud of the opportunity they've had to raise a combined $62,648 for their favourite organizations over the last two years. "In the process, we had the time of our lives!"

Thank you to Dean Novak, Rob Hansen, Brent Layton, and Richard Billard for braving the tumultuous landscape once again. We look forward to next year!
