Young Adult Cancer Canada's vision is to be the number one Canadian resource for young adults looking for inspiration, information and support. We deliver our support through three national programs and one regional program. Young Adult Cancer Canada's essential programs are supported through community events and corporate and personal gifts.

If you'd like to make a donation to help us in delivering our programs, you can do so in a number of ways:

• Make an online donation in memory, in honour or in support of a young adult with cancer through Canada Helps
• Mail a donation in memory, in honour or in support of a young adult with cancer.
• Call our office to make a donation by VISA or Mastercard

Your donations will go towards supporting the Community, a web-based peer support tool, designed to create a community for young adult survivors and supporters and to facilitate their connection and the sharing of their stories, Retreat Yourself, a retreat for young adult survivors and their supporters to come together for a weekend of being with those who "truly get it", Survivor Conference, a conference to help young adult survivors return to their sense of 'normal' and to make the rest of their life, the best of their life, and Young Adult Cancer Canada's public education program that delivers survivor presentations relating to preventing and dealing with cancer.

Charitable tax deduction information

We all know about charitable tax deductions, but do we really know what's in it for the donor?

This video from the Canada Revenue Agency talks about the details of claiming your deductions and we think it's important info everyone should know.

The highlights:

• On the federal level, you can receive 15 per cent of the first $200 you donate and 29 per cent of anything over $200.
• You can combine your receipts with those of your spouse.
• You can claim your receipts for up to five years after you donate which means you could recieve a higher return on more money.
