There will be a mix of people who are newly diagnosed and who have been on this path for a long time and have wisdom to share.

Program & Schedule
Survivor Conference 2025: Ascend will offer opportunities to connect with old friends and make new ones!

Some highlights:
- Mike Lang will offer sessions on digital storytelling for survivors and supporters
- Amanda Wurz will offer sessions on ways to support your mind and body
- Wellspring Alberta is working with us on some great sessions
- There will be some yoga and mindful movement
- There will be organized outings to enjoy some of what Calgary has to offer
- The YACC dance party is scheduled for Saturday night
- We'll spend some time reflecting and remembering those who are no longer with us during a YACC Remembers moment
- YACCer spotlights throughout the entire event
- A panel discussion featuring YACC community members
- Film screening and discussion
Eligibility
Survivor Conference is open to Canadians who were diagnosed with cancer before the age of 40 and are currently between 18-39*. You can invite one peer supporter who has been a part of your cancer experience, or with whom you have a relationship that could benefit from learning more about how cancer affects your life (like a sibling, friend, partner, etc.).
*Exceptions might be made for those who are over the age of 39 where space is available.
