The Memorial University Faculty of Medicine and the Newfoundland and Labrador Blood and Immune Disorders Research Advocacy and Education Project invite you to the presentation “Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: A Good News Story for Cancer Researchers” on April 2, 2012.
Their information poster says, “The event will be of particular interest to individuals living with CML, their family and friends, health professionals, especially laboratory technologists, cancer researchers and all those interested to learn more about how this type of cancer develops and how our understanding of cytogenetics at a molecular level has led to much improvement in therapy for this disorder. This illness is a great model for how basic science research can translate into saving and transforming patients’ lives.”
