Young Adult Patients/Survivors & their Supporter who have never been to a YACC Retreat Yourself weekend before:
Patients/Survivors: Must have had a cancer diagnosis of any type or any stage between the ages of 18 and 35 ish and you must currently be between the ages of 18 and 35 ish... (If this isn't you, fire us an email anyway, we are known to bend the rules on occasion);
Supporters: Can be a friend, sibling, spouse or partner also aged between 18 and 35 ish – but no parents, and while boy/girlfriends and significant others are definitely welcome, the bunking is not co-ed.
A small suggestion to maximize your experience: In choosing your Supporter, ask yourself:”Would I be comfortable discussing ... in front …” If the answer is yes, you and your Supporter will probably get more out of the experience and enjoy the Retreat to the fullest.
If you prefer to come on your own or if your Supporter can’t make the dates, don’t let this stop you and no worries, many people come solo as well!
Both must be able to attend the entire weekend program.
