Funding

The Retreat Yourself weekend is free to young adult survivors/patients and one supporter. Young Adult Cancer Canada covers the cost of food and accommodations for the weekend, we only ask that you cover the cost of travel to the city where the event is taking place. If you are unable to cover this travel cost, we have travel assistance to help.

Travel Assistance

We have travel assistance available to survivors/patients and their supporters who may need it. The amount you are eligable for is based on the province you live in. Fundraising options

Get support from your friends, family, community, and businesses!

We can set up a donation designation in your name on our online pledge page where people can sponsor you to participate in this awesome event! This is quick and easy:

1. We will set up an online fund designation so people can easily donate in your name.

2. We then send you a link that you can email around to all your friends and relatives.

3. They can make online donations, as little or as much as they want. If they're web-wary, people can donate via credit card by calling our office (1-877-571-7235) or they can send a cheque in the mail to:

4. We'll track your donations and the money will be used towards the purchase of your plane ticket.

Note: All donations over $10.00 will receive an official tax receipt.

If you are interested in looking for funding from community organizations and businesses, we can send you a package with sponsorship letters and information the program. Sponsoring organizations will receive a special Young Adult Cancer Canada thank you and a tax receipt for their contribution to this awesome weekend!
