Travel Assistance

The Survivor Conference is free to young adult survivors/patients and one supporter. Young Adult Cancer Canada covers the cost of food and accommodations for the weekend, we only ask that you cover the cost of travel to St-John’s if you can. If you are unable to cover this travel cost, we do have travel assistance available to help.

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE

Young Adult Cancer Canada has travel assistance available which is based on need and province. However, we do have several tools/resources that you can use to help you fundraise money to help pay for your travel. FUNDRAISING OPTIONS

You can register for the 10th Annual Climb of Signal Hill and raise some money to help you pay for your plane ticket. How? Connect with (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more details and to get your “Survivors” link.

Getting Your Community Involved: get support from your friends, family, community and businesses!

We can set up a donation designation in your name on our online pledge page where people can sponsor you to participate in this awesome event! This is quick and easy: 

1.  We will set up your online fund designation.

2.  We then send you a link that you can e-mail around to all your friends and relatives.

3.  They can then make online donations, as little or as much as they want. If it’s more suitable, your friends and family can send donations in your honor by mail to Young Adult Cancer Canada, P.O. Box 8171, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3M9, or call our office [toll free: 1-877-571-7235] to make a donation by VISA or MasterCard.

4.  We’ll track your donations and the money will be used towards the purchase of your plane ticket.

Note: All donations over $10.00 will receive an official tax receipt.

If you are interested in looking for funding from community organizations and businesses, we have a package that we can send you with sponsorship letters and information for businesses. Sponsoring organizations will receive a special Young Adult Cancer Canada thank-you and a tax receipt for their contribution to this awesome weekend!
