Being a young adult with cancer brings with it its own challenges unique to this age group – Come tell us about it!
Young adults with cancer face unique concerns such as fertility, body image, relationships, cognitive function, long-term effects, education, insurance and employment. They may be dealing with distinctly different issues based on their age group, still aspiring to actualize their goals and dreams which many older cancer patients have already achieved.
Wellspring is a network of centres providing a wide range of cancer support programs and services, at no charge, to meet the emotional, social, psychological and informational needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them.
Wellspring is looking into developing a new program specifically designed to deal with the issues faced by young adults coping with cancer. We want to ensure that Wellspring has a place for young adults to meet in a safe and supportive environment.
In order to advise Wellspring on a meaningful program, we are inviting you to join us for a discussion about the issues you may have faced. If you are a young adult that has coped with cancer, and would be willing to share your experience, we invite you to join us for a focus group to discuss these issues.
