major gifts program. Experienced? Interested? Please check it out and submit

Director of Development
Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC), Canada’s leading support organization for young adults dealing with cancer is looking for another fun, organized, ambitious person to join or office crew as we continue to move toward our ultimate goal… national domination (aka: to empower young adults diagnosed with cancer to live and love life).
We want to hear from you if your fundraising experience (preferably three years or more) involves major gift recruitment and major event planning and delivery and your connection to our cause aligns with our ultimate goal.
As Director of Development you will oversee YACC’s development activities with a
major focus on growth of the Shave for the Brave to new markets across Canada.
You will also enhance our major gifts and relationship management programs. Your
excellent networking and communication skills, written and oral, will be in action
daily. While based in St. John’s, NL, your flexibility will come in handy as you’ll spend
time developing YACC’s west coast presence in Calgary as well as new Shave for the Brave markets.
YACC takes a holistic approach to compensation, which includes an authentic
commitment to work-life balance, nicely supported by flex-time, a competitive
starting salary, fitness allowance, and group benefits plan.
There are almost 7,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer every year in Canada.
YACC’s mission is help young adults dealing with cancer transition through and
beyond their cancer experience by building a community that provides information,
support, skills, and opportunity.
We’ve had some great success in our 10 years of operation but we know our best is yet to come. The young adults dealing with cancer in Canada are counting on it. If you want to be a part of our future success, please forward your resume and cover letter to [email protected] by Friday, April 8, 2011.
