Geoff met with Dave Murray, COO of Newcap Radio, in Halifax yesterday to say thank you and present the company with a framed toque to celebrate the success of the 2011 Shave for the Brave.
Newcap has been a supporter of the Shave for a while, but came on board with six new radio stations this year for a total of eight stations in five markets. They promoted the event on their websites, interviewed the organizers and reminded people about the events on-air, and even got involved by attending on Shave Day and getting rid of some hair of their own.
Everyone we have met from Newcap has been fun, friendly, and passionate about improving the lives of young adults dealing with cancer. We look forward to continuing this relationship for a many, many years.
