The sun was shining, the weather was fantastic, spirits were high, and we were all looking forward to the activities on Saturday, July 27, 2013 as we descended upon Karters’ Korner for a afternoon of mini putt and go-karting. What started off a competitive game of mini putt quickly descended into non-chalant golfing match of shouts, hand gestures, and banter. Some of the courses were interesting, with a burping/farting barn to a weird metal structure that served as minefield of disaster. After finishing our round of golf we sat down for some much needed snacks and beverages.
Fully charged and ready to go, off to the go-karts we went! We donned our helmets and took a Speed Racer-like appearance in anticipation of some fun. Unfortunately, the rules of the game were disappointing: “No bumping or cutting off.” “Boo-urns” was our general sentiment. We wanted some intense racing style competition! Ultimately, we still had fun. As the afternoon ended, we were full of laughter, good times, and memories. Another excellent YACC Localife event!
