Hello survivors and supporters,
I wanted to remind you of a few things when planning your trip. Here is a rough agenda for the weekend. We will try to stick to this as much as we can, but as you know, shit happens and sometimes we go a little off track. We appreciate your flexibility throughout the weekend. You do not need to bring this with you. We will have the weekend schedule for you when you arrive.
Also, you will find information in the Survivor Conference FAQ section on what to pack, as well as information on some sites to see and local attractions you should take in if you can. If you haven’t already done so, you should review the full FAQ section – it will help you prepare for your trip, tell you how to get to the hotel, what to expect when it comes to the event, etc. It is a great way to calm any butterflies you may have about attending and it will definitely help get you excited about the awesome experience you are about to have.
The hotel check-in is 4 p.m. We have asked to see if we can get in earlier, but it will depend on their housekeeping that day. If you arrive earlier than this and your room is not ready, please feel free to wander into the Conference Centre (to the left of the coffee bar in the lobby) and say hi to us; we can even hold your luggage for you if you wanted to see the sights. Registration for the conference will be from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Conference Centre and the opening events will begin at 5 p.m. in the Royal Henley Ballroom. If you need to reach a YACC staffer while travelling, you can call or text (709) 690-7531.

P.S. for those of you grabbing the bus from Pearson on Thursday I had sent you an email with all the details, but here is a link to it again. On Monday morning, we will be departing from the hotel at 9 a.m. (sharp) and heading back to Pearson. We will do a drop at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. For locals grabbing the bus, you will be dropped off at Terminal 1; please remember that when arranging your pickup for Monday.
