The Cahill Group has YACC’s back!

img_8191

On Friday, October 7, over 80 Cahill Group employees stepped out of their offices for their fall wellness break and conquered Signal Hill in St. John’s for their first company Climb. There couldn’t have been a better fall day for the event, and host Lisa Bragg raved this was the best attended wellness break Cahill has seen yet!

During the walk, both teams and individual participants competed for the opportunity to win some awesome prizes based on most money raised, the most spirited, and lastly, the best socks. Employee engagement was through the roof in support of Jamie Butt, a co-worker who is currently undergoing treatment for a recent stomach cancer diagnosis. He is known for wearing funky dress stocks, and his colleagues were challenged to upstage him with crazy socks of their own.

Climbers gathered back at the Johnson Geo Centre to enjoy food and beverages from Red Oak Catering, and to celebrate raising over $6,000 in support of YACC. The Cahill Group made an additional donation to bring the final total to an outstanding $10,000.

From everyone here at YACC, we want to send special thank you to everyone who made this powerful day happen. For every $2,000 donated, we are able to help send a young adult cancer survivor or supporter to a professionally-facilitated program.

Can’t wait to see you all next year!
