We are very excited to welcome Courtney Kerrigan as the new Localife leader in Edmonton! She will be taking over from Annemarie McCrie who has decided to head out and chase some dreams.
Courtney has been connected to YACC since 2011 when she first attended our Survivor Conference. Since then, she has attended another conference, Retreat Yourself Adventure, and several Localife events. She also helped us deliver the Big Cancer Hook-up in Edmonton last year.
Courtney has a professional background in nursing, and has volunteer experience as a camp counselor/nurse and with the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Thyroid Cancer Canada. She has a calm, caring nature, and we know she will do a great job leading Localife with Dan.

Hello! My name is Courtney Kerrigan and I am a Registered Nurse. I was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer when I was 20 and in my first year of university. I have now been cancer-free for five years, and I’m excited to give back. Attending Survivor Conferences and Retreat Yourself Adventure opened my eyes to the support I never realized I needed. I am at a point where I am ready to give back to the community that is so supportive of all young adult cancer survivors.
